2026 Annual Conference Entertainment & Activations
As we gather to celebrate this year's conference theme, The Art of Community, we look forward to showcasing the many ways creativity brings people together. Throughout the event, attendees will experience a variety of live artistic demonstrations and interactive displays that highlight the beauty of collaboration, expression, and connection. Just as thriving communities are built through diverse talents and perspectives, these artistic experiences will serve as a vibrant reminder that community itself is truly a work of art.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: MOLLY GRANTHAM
Friday, August 14 | 12:30 pm: What role do you play in creating community? In this inspiring keynote, 4x Emmy-winning journalist and author Molly Grantham shares the powerful lessons behind her "Bet on Yourself" philosophy—encouraging individuals to embrace opportunity, take meaningful risks, and recognize the impact they can have on those around them. As we explore this year's theme, The Art of Community, Molly will challenge us to see that thriving communities are built by people who choose to step forward, contribute their unique talents, and invest in one another. Through personal stories, practical insights, and an energizing call to action, attendees will leave empowered to bet on themselves—and, in doing so, strengthen the communities they serve.
DOODLE ME THIS
Thursday, August 13 | 4:15 - 8:00 pm: Stop by this activation station for a quick doodle of yourself or you and a friend. These small, colorful doodles are created on the spot by artist Hannah and the perfect keepsake to take home and reminisce on your time in Winston-Salem.
THE POETRY FOX
Thursday, August 13 | 4:15 - 6:00 pm: The famed, local poet The Poetry Fox will join us during the Sip & Stroll for a unique activation. Give him a word, any word, and art comes to life with your own personal poem. Don't miss this fun and creative opportunity.

Thursday, August 13 | 4:15 - 6:00 pm: Vocalist and guitarist Jim Mayberry will join us during the Sip & Stroll for an acoustic set of live music. Enjoy some tunes while you mix and mingle with exhibitors and friends.
